Basically, I have been working against the system instead of with it! I created my own pipeline in Excel of easy to access and sort data on all my prospects. However When I get off a call with a client I have to
1. log it in sales force
2. update excel pipeline
3. create task in salesforce (or at least a reminder)
4. create follow up task in outlook or a reminder
The issue is after talking with over 40 different contacts with the same and different accounts I cannot easily consolidate all of my notes in one dashboard.
I want to create ONE note in salesforce with the most important information from the latest activity with that prospect and then I want to create ONE follow up reminder- which crosses both SF and outlook.
Second, I need all these notes of recent activity to be easily accessed and found. If I could run a report with all the latest activity weekly so I know what to follow up with or streamline one large happily married pipeline of notes, accounts, contacts, etc. I would be much happier and finally be using SF to my advantage...
PLEASE HELP WITH IDEAS

Hi Charlie
Quite a detailed question, so probably why you have not received any responses yet, but I will see if I can help with some small pointers at least.
Firstly have you got the latest version of Salesforce for Outlook?
See this info
http://blogs.salesforce.com/company/2012/10/introducing-the-salesforce-for-outlook-side-panel.html
I would use that, and manage all your contacts/leads just in Salesforce, adding the emails from them via 'Salesforce for Outlook'.
Salesforce will be your place for reports, and for looking at those records whereever you are.
Drop me a line if you need some more pointers, best of luck!
