Hi everyone !

I have created few email template (text) to send to a contact who asked for a call back.

My problem is that when I hit the "Send an email" button a contact or lead, I have an error message :

Send an email to a single contact even if he is opt-out (no mass mailing)

I totally understand that you could not send mass e-mail to contacts who have opt-out.

However in my case, it's not a mass e-mail.

As you know, when people opt-out it's most of the time to not get mass email, newsletter, marketing campaign etc...

My question :

Would it be possible to autorize sending e-mails to a single contact even opt-out and still blocking them from receiving mass mailing ?

Because right now, I have to copy paste in Outlook, add email-to-salesforce in Bcc which is a pain when you have a functionallity already inside SFDC for this.

If it's possible do you know where is this option in the administration ?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Best regards

    Hello Kevin,

I found the following idea which was delivered:  https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=08730000000Bpe7AAC Based on the product manager's comment, it seems that you can send an email to a single contact "If the opt-out flag is set on a contact record, the contact will be suppressed by the mass emails. You can still send individual emails to a contact even if the opt-out flag is set."

Also, the following discussion might be helpful: https://success.salesforce.com/answers?id=90630000000gnVZAAY

    Thank you!
