Process Builder Input too Long

We keep getting the error "Input too long. [1, 2966]" when attempting to open or save a lengthy process builder flow. I'm aware of a simliar message being marked as a known issue that was resolved with the Summer '17 release. Our sandbox where this is occuring is on Summer '17 and we are still having the issue. The process builder flow was started before the Summer '17 release so I'm not sure if that has any bearing.

    Also I don't think that known issue is fixed at all instances, fixed on some instances, check here:https://success.salesforce.com/issues_view?id=a1p3A0000008ffsQAA

     

    There is 100% possibility that even after showing at fixed on your sandbox is still showing the same known issue. So regression can still be possible in this issue. You have to log a case with salesforce support referring the same KI link and can request for regression testing on your sandbox.

     

    Regression can be done by R&D and it is time-consuming because it will take time to move your case from support to R&D, so better to provide as much as details on your case.
