Should non-rich text fields be retaining html?

We have a Text(150) that people copy and paste text from a Rich Text Area field into. Through a workflow, the text from the Text(150) field is copied into a Long Text Area field, which posts whatever's it in it onto SEEK (a job site).

 

They are coming up like this: Should non-rich text fields be retaining html?   - even though there's no ?? ?? in the text.

 

I did an Inspect and both the Text (150) and Long Text Area fields are showing "We are seeking experienced HST Administrators to work on". I know the   are non-breaking spaces but I thought non-rich text fields weren't supposed to support html?

 

Copying and "paste as plain text" apparently still retains the  . Is there any fix for this besides typing it all out?

    Plain text fields do not support line breaks.   Text Area fields support line breaks, but are not "HTML aware".  Only RichText fields are HTML aware.
