How do you create a new view for a mass email?

So I want to create a Mass Email, so I went to "Create a New View".  But the only fields I can select are either from the Accounts or Contact objects.  The field that I want to use is from a Custom Object, (e.g. a specific vendor from a drop-down list).  However, the Salesforce techs informed me that there is no way to accomplish this in Salesforce.  They said that there might be an App.

 

So I question the group of how can I "Create this View"?  And/Or are there any Apps out there that would accomplish this situation?

    I'm hoping I'm not replying too late, as I'm just now getting back to try

     

    and complete this Mass Email. I was trying to attempt a Mass Email, but

     

    wanted to use a field from a Custom Object that I had created. I had posted

     

    a question on the SFDC answer website and you had posed the following

     

    questions. Here are the answers.

     

    How are the objects related? .The Custom Object is a related list within

     

    the Accounts object.

     

    Is there a lookup to the custom object? .There is. I have a field within

     

    the custom object titled "Vendor". So when I setup a new account, I refer

     

    to the related list for this custom object. Then I select the look-up field

     

    to choose what vendor of software that they are using.

     

    So based on this information, is there a way to complete a Mass Email?
