Hello Nell,
Currently there is no way to set this up so that the report recalculates for previous months automatically based on the date you are looking at. You would manually adjust the report for each month to see what sales have been achieved for a particular period. An alternative to get this information going forward would be to use Analytic Snapshots, where data can be captured on specified days and reported on after.
