Finding the % of Opportunity Carry Over From Month to Month

Ok, so here goes nothing... I am trying to create a report/formula that can tell me the # and % of Open Opportunities that are carried over from the previous month or months. To explain further, we want to take groups of Opportunities and determin based on the Created Date and Average Age how many Opportunities that come in in a particular month are still open and being worked the following month or months.

For example, an Opportunity that comes in in March that is not closed until April or even May. We want to know the # and % of Opportunities that are carried over from the month they come in to following months. So maybe 75% of our Opportunities close in the month they came in, and 25% of Opportunities carried over and closed in the follow month.

Does this make sense?

Well you can use some other criteria, not age. Like CreatedDate not equal THIS MONTH....

Note that you will be able to report on this only from the moment when you'll establish the analytic snapshot.
