Hi all,

I've setup up the Salesforce CRM Content Manager, and I have two questions regarding the Content Delivery function?

1. Does anyone know if the link that Salesforce provides by using the content delivery get easily blocked by spam/email filters? The reason I ask is because we want to use this feature to send quote packages to our clients. But, if the link is going to be targeted as spam, then it won't work for us.

2. If we can't use the content delivery because of the potential spam blocking, is there a way to attach files from the content libraries to emails from Salesforce? For example:

- Go to Opportunity

- Under Activity History > Click Send an Email

- Click Attach a File

- Browse to the Content Library where my quote document is stored

At the moment, I only seem to be able to browse to:

- My Computer

- Shared Documents

- Personal Documents

- Draggin Role (why it includes this as an option, I have no idea....)

Thanks!

    Hi Jason,

For Content Delivery, the generated link is an external Salesforce URL, so whether it gets blocked depends on the recipient's email/security filtering. There isn't a guarantee that every customer's spam filter will allow it. I'd recommend testing with the mail systems your customers commonly use before relying on it for quote packages.

For your second question, the standard Send an Email → Attach File functionality doesn't provide a direct browse option into CRM Content libraries in the way you're describing. Content Delivery is intended for sharing library content externally.

If you need to send the actual file as an email attachment, you may need to download the file and attach it, or use a custom/integration-based solution that retrieves the Content file and attaches it to the email.
