2. These are the fields that are filled out when a new record is created on "Project Countries". The goal is to have the user fill out information about at least one project country before the opportunity is saved.

It won't let me create a Master-Detail field linking the Project Countries object to the Opportunity object unless all the lookup values for each record are valid. So that means that a lookup value must be incorrect. What it seems I need to do is find out which lookup values are incorrect. I tried to bring up the Opportunity name field and compare it with the values in the Project Countries lookup field and see if there were any discrepencies, but it appears that the lookup field is not an option for reporting.
I may have to export all the Project Countries data into a report, setup a new object using parent-child, and re-enter the data :(
