I'm in a new Business Development role with a company. We are trying to set up Campaigns in order to track my outbound calling activities and to tie opportunities in, etc.

 

Current sales people in the company already have Prospects in SF that they would like to add to my campaigns but we are unable to.

 

Any ideas?

    You can only add Person Records to Campaigns which means Contacts and Leads. My best guess is that in your org Suspect is the custom labeling of the Leads object and Prospect may be a type of Account. I am just guessing though. I would check in with your specific system admin since this is a community board and more than likely none of us here actually work for your company.
