I have followed the steps to create two separate Support Processes and Record Types.  In our organization, we want to have cases to track Consumer cases, and our Partner cases.  Each have a completely different set of statuses, custom fields and values in shared fields like Type, Actions, etc.

I have created a long list of statuses, assigned them to the corresponding Support Process.  I have assigned the support process to a particular Profile (Sys Admin), so I can test.  I am using this profile.  However, when I go to the Cases page, and create a new Case, non of my new statuses are appearing, only the original statuses which are not even assigned to that support process.

Is there a step or two that I am missing here?  I looked in some online documentation, and nothing is really providing the level of detail I likely need....

An even more weird situation I just noticed.  When I try to create a new case, I only see the old stasuses that have been in place for a while.  However, when I edit an existing case, I now see all of the new statuses that I have added in the list.

however, this not helpful, because I am trying to make it so that users with a particular role only see particular values in several of the picklists/dropdowns
