Simple question, how do I enable AppExchange?

I'm trying to install the salesforce to gmail calendar syn from Appirio. Each time I try and enable it I get an error:-

 

Unable to Access the AppExchange   The AppExchange is not enabled for your organization. Contact

salesforce.com to enable it.

    I am having the same issue in Professional Edition trying to intergrate ExactTarget and Salesforce and ExactTarget keep pushing the blame on each other. Saleforce has been no help what so ever. I am not at all pleased with their service.
