Hi Salesforce Essentials group!
I know Quota is not present on this edition as it´s part of Forecasting module. Is there anyway to set Quotas anyway for different users? Maybe creating custom field on user object and at least have something to track that? What are your thoughts?
In the Performance component from App Builder I know you can set a "Goal" that is kind of the same but that´s something the same user sets for his own and I think someone else (as a manager) wouldn´t see that.
Just looking for alternatives before going into a higher edition, thanks!
Hey there @Ignacio Vignolo I'd say that yes this could be possible but as for how far complex your quota is... This might or might not help.
A potential suggestion I could make here is you could have a dummy opportunity record that's just the sale person's name. Let's say their name is John Harris. The amount of the opportunity could be $100,000. This would be the "Quota" opportunity record could be "John Harris Quota".
From there, you could have a report that's for Q1FY22 and has the opportunity owner = John Harris AND his Opportunity records where he's the owner and just subtract off the $100,000 from the total. I know this is a little hacky and will not be a good solution for the long term... But it might get you and your team over the hurdle until you could go to a higher edition
