Hi Everyone, I know this post or question my be a abroad, but I need guidence in the scenario I'm being request to implement, The request is as follow:

The end user will be logged in a custom web site, and in this site the customer will see a banner that will take it to a salesforce community, without requiering additional login information.

Obviously I'm been working with SAML, SSO, Identity Providers and all that stuff, assuming that behind the scene the user will be provisioned automatically if is the first time accesing the community.... The thing is I was able to create a single sing on with saml and a platform called Auth0, but it involves that the technical team of the customer should implement this Auth0 platform in his application, and additionally is a paid platform at the level and size of this requirements (raising the budget of the project), so I was thinking the customer to implement it's own OpenID client but this is a very difficult task, also I read one can declare a custom autentication provider but also from the clients website there shuld be and implementation, I have been reading a lot of information but is not easy to put in practice,

I was also doing some test with OpenAM, but by deafult it requires an LDAP o AD in order to fuction but the end users of the community are not stored in any of this kind of repositories but in a "simple" oracle table, which maka the implemantation a lot more difficult.

I would appreciate any intpus, examples, recomendations or feedback from a similiar scenario.

Regards-

    Hi Jhorander,

If they will eventually need to integrate with other cloud based service providers, adding support for SAML or OpenID Connect would give them the most interoperability. If not, they could alternatively create a custom visualforce based login page for the community. The controller could then authenticate the user against the custom service, create the user (if needed), then log them in to the community.
