I have recreated several "New" Action buttons that have "Predefined Field Values" (replacing what was in Classic).
Can I remove the Standard page "New" action from view, as this is confusing my users?
If so, how? I have tried several things and looked at some documents but have not found my answer.

Since it can't currently be removed, one other option would be to edit the page layout(s) and order the actions so the standard "New" at the end of the list. Then configure the Highlights component "Visible Action Buttons" setting on the
lightning page layout to some number which ensures this action is hidden behind the dropdown. At least this way the ones you want them to use are prioritized and the generic one is not.
