Lightning remembers which tabs I had open between browser sessions and on different machines (I love this, thank you!). But does not seem remember pinned list views - correct me if I'm wrong. Is this on roadmap to enhance so it remembers pinned list views like it does open tabs?
And is there anyway as admin to set a list as org, app, or profile default list view per object besides Recently Viewed?

Yes, they don't sync between browsers and there's no global defaults yet.
