Events/Calendars: My pilot users (me also) are really excited by the Calendar abilities in LEX. Does it require Event access? All documentation groups them together so probably yes -- But due to the difference in behavior with sending emails automatically to attendees (Contact/Lead) in Classic vs LEX when an Event is created/edited ....
Is there anyway to not show Events or stop the auto email send behavior in Classic but to allow in LEX? My users will be switching between Classic and LEX and I don't want emails sent to Contacts unknowingly. As an aside - how stop emails in LEX when Lightning Sync is in place? We currently don't use Lightning Sync, but know that users will want to use Events like they do Tasks and relate them to both a Contact/Lead and also Related To a non-Contact/Lead object such as Opportunity or Org/Household.
Update: I found some possible solutions regarding Classic's behavior - but still does handle a possible Cancel of the Event in Classic... https://success.salesforce.com/answers?id=90630000000gykrAAA
Chantel - thanks for the info and yes from looking at the Idea Exchange and your input - does look like Events and the triggered email logic/control abilities need some love/refinement by Salesforce - hopefully soon! :-)
