Our company uses public calendars in Classic. Now, I have transitioned our org over to Lightning. Users need these calendars.

I'm curious what I can do to compensate this. For example, the users need a way to see other users vacation days for staffing.

Thanks for your suggestions!

@Jean Hathhorn Public calendars have been on the road map, and as @Elna Miller

states, will have some functionality available in Spring '19.

We need Public Calendar functionality matching classic, specifically admin setup and sharing. We found the expected feature set we need to not be planned for a few more releases and decided to move to Calendar Anything (App Exchange) at least until the feature set catches up.

But our use case was a bit more than just users sharing. We have multiple locations (over 140) and each location has 3 calendars that must be shared with location and regional staff. Our sharing needs are complex and we must be able to control it at the corporate level, while making it easy for users to move between (view and edit) location (and type) calendars.

For us this was a big enough feature to look for a product to compensate for the missing features in Lightning. We are happy to be in Lightning, but this threatened our success in Lightning if we had not been able to find the tool we are using.

The features planned for Spring '19 might work for you.
