Confirm Best Search practices: Lightning

Hello. We find the requirement for the Search Results and the Filter Columns to be the same - this is a bit restrictive and a change from Classic that is confusing our business people.

However, can the group confirm this is the expectation:

• User searches via Global Search- results are returned- (we know Global Search is powerful)
• The columns for both Search results and filters would be surfaced as the most essential values to do further filtering
• These columns provide consistency between the Filters and visible columns

Is it on the Roadmap to bring the filter columns/controls and search results columns to parity with Classic?
