Help! There is a menu on all lightning pages, which has an icon of a plus sign (+). It is the "Create" Menu. Where do you go add items to this menu. I'd like to add the ability to create a "New Task" to this menu - but can't find in the documentation where this particular menu is configured.
(Salesforce has so many types of 'actions' now, that is difficult to know which is which :-( Which setting controls the elements displayed in this 'create' menu?

Hi @Larry Deckel , The "+" sign on hovering will say Global Actions and can be used to create various actions. These global actions can be placed in Home Page or Chatter or object record pages wherever actions are supported.
Go to Setup --> search for 'Global Actions' --> click on 'Global Actions' --> Click "New Action" button and from there , you will be filling a few fields to create a global action. You can confirm this by clicking on the "+" sign to create a Global Action that you created just now (Examples: New Task, New Email, Log a Call, New Event, New Lead, New Account, etc.)
