Does anyone experience the problem with Lead conversion - when I try to attach the converted lead to an existing opportunity I get the message : "0 opportunity matches" and there's no way to make a search from existing ones.
@Brooke Lane the assumption that you will relate a new contact to the opportunity under a mother account of this new contact is for very simple and small businesses. When you have all hierarchy of accounts (and we have 20-30 account in one tree) you may need to relate a contact to one account but to opportunity under a different account from the business group not necessarily the mother account of a contact. The more that you can relate contacts to many accounts now.
The other constraint - the opportunity must be open. Why does Salesforce want to be smarter than its users? Why not closed? If I recently closed an opportunity but I got a new contact that I would like to relate to it - why you don't allow me to do it?
