##LightningNow  #DontLetMeMakeMyTeamMad

I just ran the readiness report on a sandbox that I want to try out a lightning path in. I am only adding the permission set with Lightning permissions to one user. The readiness report was 164 pages long! Obviously, we would have to fix a lot to migrate completely, but in the mean time, will turning it on and only allowing that one user to access it affect anything else where using the sandbox or developing in it???  I attended the Lightning Now Tour in Atlanta and I am almost 100% sure that it won't affect anyone else, but we have several people developing in that sandbox and I don't want to mess what they are doing up!!!

There is a checkbox on your profiles that say "Custom Profile". If it is standard, this box is not checked. We had a handful of users that we gave access to Lightning while the rest remained in Classic. The biggest "issue" we have run into with this is the inability to share URLs. If the lightning user copies the URL of the record they are on, and pastes that into an email shared with classic users - those classic users get an error page, and can't see what the user was trying to send them. So the lightning user has to share the name of the record and the classic user has to do a search for it - not a great process. But that won't really affect any of your developers, so you should be good as long as you don't have users in your standard profiles, as Michael mentioned.
