Hi All,

Topic: Configuring Actions on the dataset - Specifically the "Open Record" action.

Need: Is it possible to configure multiple "Open" actions?  I'd like to have an option to open the SFDC record, and a second option to open a URL.

Currently, the Configure Actions UI limits this functionality to only one option...open a SFDC record OR open a URL...can't configure both in the same dropdown on one field.

Any known work-arounds for accomplishing multiple actions (not related to the "Perform Salesforce actions")?

Thanks!

    @Ziad Fayad, thanks for the suggestion. I am not able to make changes to the object itself via SFDC setup to create/add this action so that it would be available to me under the "configure actions" when editing the dataset in EA. The team that can do that is working on it, but I was interested in potentially finding a way that I could add "Open Record" or "Open URL" actions via JSON/XMD without needing to request the development of a custom action on the back-end.

Is there a way to auto update/refresh an Einstein dashboard? Trying to do some metric leader-board reporting and make it automated. APEX maybe? Thank you for the help.#AskTheACExperts

Is there a way to do a diagonal slope reference line? Looking to build a regression slope based on discount vs total price. I can build a vertical or horizontal reference line but is there a way to do a regressive slope line that would provide a marker for values outside of the slope? Thank you!

Red line is what I want to build.

    Oops, linear regression takes 2 measures. Well, if you wanted to wander way outside of best practice you could fake a histogram as well. Instead of a grouping (or maybe in addition to in a stacked bar) you could break your stream into multiple streams for each breakpoint.

    In an example of 10 buckets, you'd run your query to establish breakpoints of max(myMea) - min(myMea) * 0.1, then 0.2, then 0.3 etc. Generate "01", "02", "03" as myHistogramBucket.

    Unioning way too many streams can result in performance issues, though I don't think it's explicitly limited. The more data, the faster you'll hit the 'lag barrier'. I've unioned 168 streams with 1 row each, but after more than a few columns, I exceeded the character cap on the query. This was also something I did in my free time and probably wouldn't recommend it for use in a real implementation.

    I've unioned around 15 streams with a few thousand rows in each without significant issue (again on my own, this time messing with 12 streams for months and a few others to do calculations). I don't know how this would work with large volume data.

Hi All,

when i'm trying to convert epoch sec to date, its returning a non existing date. Did anyone face this challenge before?

q = load "Opportunities";

q = group q by all;

q = foreach q generate 1533254400000 as 'max', 0 as 'min';

q= foreach q generate toDate(max) as 'Max', toDate('min') as 'Min';

expected was to be Max as 8/3/2018 and Min as 1/1/1970

results which i'm getting is Max as 50556-11-24 00:00:00 and Min as 1970-01-01 00:00:00

Hello.

Quick question regarding formatting with the XMD file. Is there some way to apply formatting to the percentages displayed when the "normalize values" option is selected on a bar chart? I'd like to remove the decimal places. I did see the option for formatting derived measures, but I do not see the normalized value in the SAQL query.

Thanks in advance.

Hello All,

I am trying to recreate a dynamic date range for mutually exclusive measures in Wave. To compare, the equivalent in SQL would be referred to as a recursive CTE statement, see below.

With Dates

    As (

    Select

        DATEADD(Yy, -2, DATEADD(month, DATEDIFF(month, 0, GETDATE()), 0)) As Calendardate

    Union All

    Select

        DATEADD(Month, 1, Calendardate) As Calendardate

    From

        Dates

    Where

         Calendardate<Getdate())

    Select

        *

    From

        Dates;

This statement would return the last two years of month end periods, and I would use this to create a cube that can join in measures based on mutually exclusive dates to show unique instances period over period. For example, number of cases opened in that period, closed, or backlog at month end.

I need to do something similar in Wave, any advice?

Compare Tables with nulls in groups.

I have a compare table  and when I add a column to group by that has null values, any rows that have a null value in the column get dropped.

Is there something in the compare table step JSON so it keeps rows with the nulls in one of the group by column.

I have a similiarly grouped SAQL step and it will happily group the null values in those columns.

This is resulting in the compare table showing no results where as every other widget on the dashboard is showing results.

Hmmm. I can't remember how to do Date Selection binding in the compact form.

This is what I have in the filter:

                        [

                            "Invoice Target Date",

                            "{{row(Committed_Filter_1.selection, [ 0 ], [\"min\", \"max\"]).asObject()}}",

                            ">=<="

                        ]

And it works when I select All Time but if I try to select a specific range of dates, I get the following error:

This widget can't be displayed because there is a problem with its source step:

Cannot read property '0' of null

If someone could give me a working Date Binding in the compact form example, I'd appreciate it greatly.

    Here is an example binding from one of my dashboards with a Date selector widget named Period

    [

    "CloseDate",

    [

    "{{ row(Period.selection, [0], [\"min\", \"max\"]).asObject() }}"

    ],

    ">=<="

    ],

I am using dataflow and I want to filter the Dated Conversion Rate table based upon the close date in the Opportunity SObject.   In other words I want to get the currency rate for an opportunity based on the close date. How do I do this in a dataflow?   #Wavetechlounge  #WA-Answer  #AskTheACExperts  #Ask Salesforce Anything  @Daniel Glogowski  @Ziad Fayad @Mustapha El Hassak @Ed Sandoval #Multi Currency

Hi All,

I wanted to delete records older than 90 days in trending snapshot. Is there any way this can be accomplished.

    Thanks Peter.

    I'm trying on our full sandbox. '$' is throwing the syntax error.
