We've encountered a limitation with Salesforce List Emails

: file attachments (e.g. PDFs) are always sent as HTML download links instead of native attachments. This can lead to confusion for recipients and often requires workarounds such as SharePoint links. According to Salesforce, this behaviour is currently by design and cannot be configured. 

I've therefore submitted an IdeaExchange proposal requesting a configurable option to send either native file attachments or HTML links.
