We’re trying to reduce the time reps spend typing notes in Salesforce. The idea is to let them speak instead of type and have the text go straight into a Salesforce field (like Task description or a custom “Call Notes” field) while they stay on the record page in the browser.
For those who’ve set up something similar:
- Are you using any browser‑based dictation / voice‑to‑text tools that write directly into Salesforce fields?
- How do you handle things like field focus, auto‑saving, and making sure the right record is updated?
Just looking for real‑world setups and gotchas so we don’t reinvent the wheel.

Hi,
I’d keep it simple and use the browser’s built in dictation or a speech-to-text extension rather than changing Salesforce itself. The main gotcha is focus, the rep needs to click into the right field before dictating. I’d avoid autosave at first too, and let them review the note before saving the record.
