I work with a large contact database that currently exists in Excel format, and the file contains tens of thousands of records. I need to convert the contacts into VCF files for another system. Most of the online converters I have found seem designed for small files, and I am not comfortable uploading a huge customer database to an online service because of privacy concerns.

I am therefore looking at desktop-based Excel to vCard conversion tools. Has anyone tried

SysTools Excel to vCard Converter

with a very large Excel file? I would like to know whether it can handle thousands of contacts without crashing or skipping records.

Yes, you can effortlessly convert 40,000+ Excel contacts to vCard with the help of the bulk processing option, but the manual method does not support batch conversion because it involves saving the Excel sheet as a CSV and then importing and exporting contacts, which can be tedious for such a large list.

    Use The Faster Approach:

    The

    Softaken Excel to VCF Converter

is worth considering for this conversion. It supports all small or large XLS and XLSX files that contain 40,000+ contact information and simply converts them to VCF format and lets users preview contact details, map Excel columns to vCard fields, and export the contacts to VCF. This is useful when you're moving a large contact list to an iPhone, Android phone, or another address book.

Before converting all 40,000 contacts, try a sample and check that names, phone numbers, and email addresses appear correctly in the resulting VCF file.
