Afternoon all,
I am building a dashboard based upon a data connection in Denodo. No special SQL or anything required.
The dashboard visualizes the cost and inventory of vehicles for my company, therefore some vehicles are "active" and "inactive" as they move into and out of the company's inventory. There is a text field called "status" and the values found in there are "active" and "inactive".
When Tableau brought in the data - it defaulted this field to boolean but all of the values are null. I have tried to change the data type to string but I keep getting this error:
"Bad Connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source.
ERROR: Operator 'is true' for type 'text' not found; Error while executing the query"
Any ideas on what I can do here?

Hello all,
Well it seems this problem is unsolvable in Tableau. Based upon the feedback that I received, I went back to my DBA and had them change the field at the data source level. Now it works as expected.
