I'm using it for a small non-profit that will run fewer than 10 events annually. The "Pro" version costs $29 per month, billed annually at $348. That PAID  version does not include API access, so we can't connect to Salesforce via Zapier -- for the API, we need to upgrade to the "Enterprise" version, which costs $1000+ more per year.

How crazy is that? Does anyone know what their cost could be for us to have access to the API?

Yeah, that pricing bump for API access is pretty common with event platforms, unfortunately. If you only have a handful of events, you might look at free/cheaper tools that integrate with Salesforce like Eventbrite (via Zapier) or even native Campaigns + Web-to-Lead/Flow for signups. Might be worth asking EventCreate if they offer nonprofit discounts for Enterprise — some do if you ask directly.
