We have this approval process that works perfectly fine except for the email alert step. please note that the said step is not working for this 1 specific user only.
what do you think is the issue and how can we fix this? Thank you!

You can check email logs to see which emails were sent out from Salesforce to check if there is an issue in Salesforce or there is some issue in the email service.
Did the user check their spam/junk folder?
