Account Engagement SE-blasts to Subscribers

Hi. I'm new to this so hope I'm in the right place to seek this info. We're new to using SF  NPSP; have Account Engagement but not using it yet. Need to use AE for e-blasts to provide educational-related info to mailing lists where existing subscribers are contacts in SF with ability for folks to newly subscribe and/or unsubscribe. Not for making sales, nor for seeking donations. Would like to hear/see how different users have this working. Anyone doing something like this that I could connect with?  Thanks.
