I have a data migration issue with the incorrect date displaying in the Activity feed.
The behaviour of the date field in the Activity feed, is that it uses the CompletedDateTime field from the Task, but if CompletedDateTime is null it uses the ActivityDate instead.
The issue is that you cannot set the CompletedDateTime on insert or update, as it automatically updated to the date the Tasks Status is set to Completed. Which is a pain, because that ends up being the date of the insert when the Status is Completed.
I had thought about setting the Task status to a non-closed value (e.g. Open), but then the Task appears as overdue, which it isn't, because its a phone call that happened in the past.
So can anyone tell me how you're supposed to migrate completed Tasks and have the correct date displayed in the Activity Timeline?
As you can see from the screenshot, all the dates are showing the same, which was the day the data was uploaded. Even though the ActivityDate is correct and in the past
