Launching the latest innovation from Salesforce for our nonprofit and grantmaking communities: Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking
In May we announced the latest innovation for nonprofits and foundations who deliver funding - Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking - and today we are delighted to share that it is officially available!
This product (Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking) is separate from the newest Nonprofit Cloud but includes all of its goodness plus grantmaking capabilities:
- Everything that’s in Nonprofit Cloud today plus,
- A data model that allows them to build and manage their applications, budgets, funding opportunities and awards.
- Grants Portal Template
- fundamental to making it easy for grantees to complete important actions in the grants management process and stay engaged.
- The preconfigured portal template accelerates implementation and time to value so grantmakers can focus less on setting up their systems and more on funding important initiatives.
- Grant Budget Submission UI to support program managers in creating program budgets and grantseekers to submit budget details related to their grant applications.
This innovation connects funders and the organizations delivering programs and services to engage and iterate across the entire impact lifecycle. Now, nonprofits and grantmakers of all sizes are able to maximize efficiency and impact across their organization.
If you are a nonprofit or foundation that disperses funding, check out Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking on our website and be sure to check out our newest Trail.
Salesforce already offers Grants Management products so why build Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking?
We have built grantmaking functionality into the core Salesforce platform and this means grantmakers have faster and easier access to the full Salesforce platform and the billions of dollars in research and development across Clouds. It also means greater cross-sector impact by working hand in hand with other industries. And driving impact as every component is built with outcomes in mind without heavy customization and in a more standardized way.
In launching the new Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking capabilities, we are not only realizing the aforementioned platform benefits, we have also taken a step back and updated the entire system, in ways that make it more responsive. Updates to award management and budget data collection are two examples of data model changes, but we’ve also been able to add powerful application improvements, such as an advanced form building engine (powered by OmniStudio), and built-in document generation.
Can I get a trial org to get to know the new Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking?
Yes you can, click on this link for a trial and familiarize yourself with the features for managing the full grantmaking lifecycle in one place. Please note that we are currently updating the information on our trial page, Howe the nonprofit trial now contains the Grantmaking features.
Will Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking be included in the Power of Us donation?
No. The Grants Management product is an add-on SKU to the Nonprofit Cloud SKU, and will not be available through the Power of Us (P10) program. However, Nonprofit Cloud user licenses that are granted through the P10 program can be used as prerequisite user licenses for Grants Management, without requiring an additional Nonprofit Cloud licenses purchase (for the first 10 licenses).
Address support for existing grantmaking products
If you are currently using one of our grantmaking products, you are probably wondering, “Can I migrate?” “How will that work?” and the answer is yes, we are working on tools and guidelines to help you make that journey, when the time is right, and we are collaborating across our entire partner ecosystem to ensure that there are a rich set of resources available for existing customers who want to start trailblazing early. Please stay tuned for more details, we have an ambitious roadmap, and as we complete items we will add them into a steady stream of information coming to you through the community.
Thanks for all the great work you do, and your continued support as we evolve to find better ways to support you.
If you have any questions, please comment on this post and I and we will do our best to answer your questions in a timely manner.
@Lori Freeman Our Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking licenses will go into effect Aug 14. In the interim, I am configuring a Base Trial as recommended so it will roll into the live environment. I'm going through the Setup Checklist and I see the app for PMM and the Business Rules and ARC setup so I know it's at least somewhat preconfigured. However, I don't see any of the nonprofit-specific Opportunity or Contact fields and record types. Will those be in the live environment or will I have to create them all manually?!?! If manually, I need to start now. Likewise all the automations that trigger off them. This was all included in the dev org so I assumed it would be in the Base Trial as well. Can you please clarify so I can make the best use of these two weeks free?
