Hello Everyone,
I want to set reminders using tasks and be notified of those tasks via email. But it is not happening.
I disabled " Enable User Control Over Task Assignment Notification" under Activity setting and then under task page layout, clicked page layout properties and enabled email notification checkbox but still do not see anything. What am I missing? I will greatly appreciate your help. Thanks

Yes I reviewed this article and followed the instructions. I think I need to change my question a little bit. When I create a new task and assign it to other people they get an email notification but when I assign it to myself, I do not get an email notification. I do get a reminder under salesforce notification. Is that possible for me to get an email notification for my own task?
