Hi, I recently started working with a non profit. Before I came onboard the org installed NPSP, V4S and PMM but weren't using the tool, giving me a great opportunity to set things up smartly.

So now that the data is clean, I need to start tracking programs and volunteers. I understand V4S and see that it's using campaigns. I came online today to start tackling PMM.  Most of our programs have volunteers associated with them and I want to be smart about how we set this up (and obv be able to report back to our donors).

As I was about to start the trailhead, I saw March '23 release information about Non Profit Cloud/Program and Case Management. I read a bit, but am confused. We are part of the power of us program, so I understand this would be included but I'm not sure, should I look into installing this new feature or continue with my PMM/V4S plan?  I'm not seeing much online about folks using this feature, but I don't want to set up this org with PMM and then have to migrate over unnecessarily. Appreciate your advice. Thanks.

The bottom line is that Salesforce says NPSP and the nonprofit cloud are 100% incompatible. So if you use a NPSP, you cannot use, in the same organization ID, nonprofit cloud. And the features of nonprofit cloud are not installable. they are simply part of the industry cloud solution.

It is conceivable to separate your licenses into some licenses. Use for a NPSP and some licenses use for a nonprofit cloud. But then you have to deal with what to do when people overlap.
