Hello Trailblazers,

We are making several modifications to enhance the Global Header & Navigation experience across our web properties. We’ve heard your feedback and conducted additional user research, and will be rolling out changes throughout the summer. We will provide you with detailed information as we approach the availability of each enhancement. 

To kick off the modifications, starting on June 15, we will be increasing the size of the Search box within the header on Trailhead, Help, Salesforce+ and Developer sites. This will ensure that the contextual search label in the header is fully displayed in all languages, benefiting our sighted Trailblazers. Additionally, the larger size is especially helpful when the Header Search box is used on Search Result pages. 

Later this month, we’ll be improving the Aria descriptions and headings within the Search component for those who depend on assistive technology to navigate. We will also be persisting the search term within the Search box, so that once you enter a search term, it will remain in the Header Search box, until you interact with it again.
