Hi everyone,
In Salesforce can we hide the entire record from a profile depending on the picklist value of a field? I mean let's say there is a pencil object and a picklist field named color. Picklist values are "Red, Purple, and Blue". There are two profiles A and B. A will see all the records but B will see the records that the picklist value is not blue.
Did anyone have a similar requirement before? What are your thoughts?

DENISE USLU (Salesforce Developer at Healthcare) Hi. You're talking about record access, and this means Roles (not profiles) and the Role Hierarchy, and Sharing Settings (OWD), and Sharing Rules. What object, and what's the OWD of the object. And, yes, you can set up a criteria based rule using a picklist field.
