Email Formula for Selected User

Hello,

I have a custom pricing request object, I created a lookup field to select the SF user who requested the pricing request, I now need to pull the email address associated with that user.  Is there a formula I can use? Or do I need to create a workflow? Any help is greatly appreciated.
