Hi! Would love your input on this:
Previously, if you wanted to notify a User something regarding a record, you would use a
#Task. With the advent of PB creating #Chatter posts, and #LEXputting Chatter front and center.....has anyone switched to using Chatter for internal notifications even if it is a to-do?
Example use case: User wants to be notified when a member resigns so that they can write-off outstanding pledges.
Chatter Pro: Creates a single post on the record. Users can collaborate via comments.
Chatter Con: There is no way to "complete"/close out a chatter post. Also no way to aggregate Chatter posts that you need to address.
Task Pro: Task is marked as completed once done. List views etc can be used to track Tasks.
Task Con: Creates extra records (clutter) in the system.
