We use iFramed Pardot forms on our website, so I set up cross-domain tracking and am excluding the tracker domain (it's the same as our primary domain, but using the info. sub-domain) in Google Analytics, so it doesn't erroneously inflate our session count. We also use the same tracker domain for our tracked links.

I have two questions:

1) Will Google Analytics count the traffic coming from our tracked links as a new session, and

2) If we include UTM parameters in the destination URL of the tracked link, will Google read those parameters and apply the correct source to the traffic? @* MC Account Engagement (fka Pardot) *

@Doug Casellini My answer is based on my actual experience of implementation which I´ve validated with other Pardot colleagues.  Google Analytics connectors do not bring too much value, you may use the code snippet on Landing Pages or read UTM values from the URL

    2) If on your email templates and landing pages you include URLs of the target domain adding UTM values, the target domain GA code will get those and you can Report on them on your Google Analytics account.  Hope this clear up your concerns
