Background A nonprofit provides a service where individuals must complete at least 7 out of 9 classes in a 9-class series before they are eligible for additional services through the nonprofit. Additionally, the individual taking the classes must attend each course for a minimum of 20 minutes to be counted as present for that class. All classes are held on Zoom. All individuals attending the Zoom classes are registered Contacts in Salesforce. The nonprofit would like their Contacts' profile to be updated to reflect when people enter and exit Zoom meetings, The total duration they attended the meeting, and how many meetings they attended . My Question
Can the Salesforce Zoom Integration and/or the Zoom for Salesforce Integration (one is made by Salesforce, and one is made by Zoom) create fields and/or update Salesforce Contacts to show how long a Contact is on a Zoom call, when they enter/exit, and how many Zoom meetings they attended? Thanks for your time!
Hi @Jade Mays,
Yes, the Zoom integration by Salesforce can track how long a contact has been in the Zoom meeting. Salesforce can capture data on the duration of a contact's Zoom meeting by integrating with Zoom and using Zoom's API. Salesforce can then store this data in its system and make it available for reporting and analysis.
To enable this feature, you would need to integrate your Zoom account with Salesforce and ensure that the necessary permissions and settings are enabled. Once integrated, Salesforce can capture data on when the meeting started, how long the meeting lasted, and who attended the meeting. This information can be used to track attendance, engagement, and other metrics related to your Zoom meetings.
It's worth noting that the level of detail captured by Salesforce will depend on the permissions and settings enabled in your Zoom account. You may need to work with your Zoom administrator to ensure that the necessary data is being captured and shared with Salesforce.
