Customize Opportunity Line Items

Is it possible to customize the way opportunity products are added in Salesforce? I need the ability to have 20 custom fields, hide mandatory fields, reorder line items, display all line items at once, duplicate line items and add more than 100 line items

    Hi Michael. You can customise the columns that appear in the Opportunity products by Editing the Opportunity Product page layout and clicking on the Edit Multi Line Layout link in the top right. That will help a little.

     

    To do everything else what you need to do is develop your own custom components (preferably using LWC).

     

    I'd also suggest if you're having that many fields on a line item, and that many lines on an opportunity it sounds like you really need a CPQ solution that generates a BOM and has product configurations and packaging.
