We have built a Salesforce CRM to help manage our stock levels of veterinary drugs and treatments for the animals in our care but was wondering if we could link it somehow to our external animal management system called Shelter Manager?
On the drug action object, ideally we would like to have a field that say's "Issued to Animal" that then has a look up to a list of animals currently on our shelter in our exteral Shelter Management system.
They have a list of APIs to link it to other systems but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for and how it would link to Salesforce: https://www.sheltermanager.com/repo/asm3_help/service.html
Would I be creating an external object and linking that somehow?
