Greetings,

 

I would like to create a custom field for an object to use a "Contact".  Rather than use this field to search all contacts, I would like it to search only Contacts with a specific "Account".  Is this possible, and if so, is there a good document on this (unable to find).

 

The concept of this custom field is to be able to go into the Object and choose the Staffing (Contact) that will be associated with this Object (similar to an Opportunity Object).

 

If there is a better way to do this, perhaps by using Lookup relationship with the "Account" and then choosing the "Contact"?  Either way, not able to find any good docs on this.

    Hello Dave,

     

    When creating or editing the Lookup (Contact) field, look for a section that says "Lookup Filter" and specify the Account there. Like this:

    You can hard-code a value (like I did with Dunder Mifflin) or you can reference a field.
