Thought this one was going to go smooth since I was literally watching someone at Salesforce do it and did it along with her.
Attaching screenshot in a moment. Filtering the excercise and in the Report Builder the" Type"has to be "customer" I have looked through all the fields to add it and do not see just "Customer" as an option.
Is this something I am supposed to have created in my playground of is this something else that's going on?

It would be in Fields & Relationships under the Account object. The field name us "Type" and you are looking for "Customer" as one of the active picklist values.
Also, can you clarify that your Report is built on the Account report type?
