How to convert User ID to User Name

I created a custom formula field that contains two fields that are user lookup fields and when I report on it, I see user IDs as opposed to user names. Is there any way within the custom formula field to convert the user ID to user name or display the user name instead of the ID?

    This example did the trick for me.  I saw this Blog yesterday.  This is the first Blog I've ever contributed to and hope this helps someone.

     

    Formsite__r.Owner:User.FirstName + " " + Formsite__r.Owner:User.LastName
