Best Project Process Management Route

We're looking for a post-sales process manageemnt solution. Once the deal is closed there are still importnat tasks that are needed before the sale is finished. Once the deal turns into a sale the company needs specific information for the project (we sell projects, entire buildings), people delegated to tasks, documents that need to be collected, checklists that need to be followed. Can this be done in out of the box Salesforce or are we beter of pirsng an add on app?

    Agree with John, while you can build it, there are a lot of apps that will do it for you and give you some cool features. Look in the AppExchange, but the following are ones I can think of off the top of my head.

    TaskRay

     

    Agile Accelerator

     

    I've been playing with Cloud Coach, that John mentioned, in a dev org and it seems cool too.
