Why Accounts is not having an email ID field by default? I can create a custom field and start saving email IDs, but I wish to understand whether my intention of having an email ID to Accounts is right or not.

My vendors (Accounts) are using common email IDs like contact.branch@1234.com (mailto:contact.branch@1234.com) or billing.southregion@abcde.com (mailto:billing.southregion@abcde.com)

So these emails cannot be mapped to any individual contacts, as each individual is having their own unique emails provided by their company, these email can be mapped to a Parent Account or Branch Account or Department Accounts.

Organization wide emails are useful, when a contact in that Account resigns or transferred.

Kindly clarify.

regards,

    Hi Singaravelu,

I would set those up as Contacts.  No shame in having a contact called "Support".  You'll have a lot more luck with default Salesforce functionality by setting it up this way.  You can get fancy and have them as a different record type and page layout if you want as well
