how do i find the reports that are not been used in any dashboard or reporting?

Basically, i have joined a new org and they have so many reports created  and now they dont use most of them . SO wanted to identify the reports that are not been used in any dashboards or have not been run in the last 1 year.

    Hi Sharmili,

     

    you will need to create a custom report type for this.

     

    Navigate to Setup - and Type Report Types in the Quick Find Box

     

    Create a New Report Type and select reports as the Primary Object, complete all the required fields and click Next

     

    select Dashboard Components as the related object and define the relationship as below

     

    Reports (A)

     

    with or without related records from Dashboard Components (B)

     

    Save the report type

     

    Now Create a Report using this Report type

     

    In the report if you select Report Name and Dashboard Component Id as two columns, the Dashboard Component Id column will be blank where the report is not used in any of the dashboards

     

    you could use field like Report LAst Run to identify Reports that have not been used in last 1 year
