We have Pro ED.

 

A few weeks back an employee left us so I froze his SF account. But now we have a new employee to take his role so i need to effectively un-freeze the account and re-assign everything. I un-froze the account and went to update the email address to the new employee, but noticed that all the old completed tasks/events had of course been renamed/defaulted to her new name. How can I change this so all the old emails etc remain owned by the old owner, and any new activities will by the new person? I also want all the old companies to be owned by her too. Surely i can do this without purchasing a new license.

    Instead of changing the user name on the existing user account, de-activate that user and create a new User. Then, you can transfer the records you want the new user to own.
