How do I create a field in case object that will return custom object field value?

I would like to create a field at the case level that can be auto populated based on a custom object field.

 

Can you help please ?

    1)There has to be  relationship between the object and case object (Case Object has to be the child ) and if there is then create a formula field on case object.

     

    2)Populate the field(Record name of the object ) in the look up and it fetch and populate the other field value that you are looking for on the case object.
